I'd steer away from #2, as the bars underneath don't seem to leave room for the leg-swinging that seems so fun with those swivel-chairs! We have a round teak-ish (fake teak I'm sure) table that seats six. I got it off of Craigslist for $25. They have some fun colors of exterior fence stain at Home Depot these days–what about sanding down an old table and using the teal-ish blue tinted stain or something unique like that? Can't wait to see what you decide!

I like option number three because it's dark and it has a hole in the middle for a potential umbrella if needed. Since I have stood in the very place you are speaking of putting this table I would not recommend a round table. It won't fit or it would have to be really small. This is Cam BTW.

I think a round table is a good idea too, but there is a reason I didn't have it as an option and I should've explained that in my post. My patio area is rather small and rectangular and I wanted to be able to seat 6 people if I needed to, which doesn't always seem possible with most round patio tables.

I will definitely add round tables to my search since everyone thinks it would work so well, but I am not sure it will be the solution to my problem.

I'll let you know what I come up with.

I like the round too it would look great. This post really got my attention since I started my patio furniture seach on March 13 with no luck yet. I have the same issues you do with this. It is very frustrating. I'm headed to Costco today to test drive one final set before I hit the swap meet and antique/second hand stores. Keep us posted on what you do. No matter I'm sure it will still be the mostest badass looking patio in town. ;)

I agree that a round table might go better with the chairs. If not, I'd choose #2, as the rounded legs are a better match to the roundy chairs. I love my patio furniture–I collected a table and some plastic chairs from various rummage sales, and painted the whole works bright red. Super cheap and effective!

Hmm I would go with a round table myself . Firstly because you have four chairs and also the roundness of those chairs just seem to go more with a round table ( love those chairs by the way ) . Sorry not much help ….and I would go for white too .
