Thinking About : B&W Pillows

9 - Black & White Pillows
Hey Guys! If you’ve been following along, you know that I’ve been working hard on updating the sunroom off our master bedroom over the last few weeks. You may have noticed that the photos I shared last week mostly featured black and white pillows. You also may have noticed that all of those pillows are from my living room. That’s how I roll, always moving stuff around my house and constantly redecorating. However, my living room is crying, and it needs its pillows back.

I really love the look of black and white against the newly reupholstered navy sofa, and I’d like to find some new black and white pillows to add to my growing collection. Having accessories in the same color story makes rearranging my home super easy, which I seem to have a hopeless addiction to, obviously.

Here’s a list of my current favorite black and white pillows. I wish I could have them all, but that would be crazy, and I wouldn’t have any money left.

The number 3 pillow I seem to see everywhere. Maybe it’s because I just started paying attention, and that’s why, but it’s a good choice. I really like the number 4 pillow. I know it’s not a Christmas pillow, but it would be a fun non-traditional holiday pattern. And 1 and 2 are both really fun, too. I’m not a pillow person myself, but those four get my vote.

Hey AnnMarie, Sorry I was so lame this week at responding. That little pillow you see everywhere is from Ikea, so that explains it ;) I love the tree pillow too – It’s probably top on my list.

I like number 7 and 3. I just bought number three and can’t decide if I should do two of the same on my couch or different BW pillows. Hmmm.

Decisions, decisions. I like 3 too, I just ordered one on ebay because our Ikea is all out. I think it’s good and affordable so go ahead and do it on your couch too!

You did such an AMAZING job on the sofa upholstering, try making your own pillows. It is so much cheaper and you can make what YOU want, not what everybody else has. And if you put an invisible zipper in or an envelope back you can wash them when needed. Ikea has inexpensive pillow forms or watch Joann Fabrics sales and coupons. This way you can reuse the pillow forms and just make a new cover when you want to change the look. Also, I have been following your blog for a few months and it is one of my favorites…voted for you on AT. From one Minnesotan to another, STAY WARM!!

Thanks Kim – Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond, this week has ben nuts. I did grab a bit of fabric, and I have for making at least one pillow on my own. Especially that I am a sewing whiz and can make pillows with zippers ;)

Thanks for your vote, you stay warm too. Let’s think warm thought!
