I ended up buying the rug, based on your commentary of the feel of it, not being able to feel it in store myself. I have to say I am quite disappointed with it, as the scratchiness is the first thing I noticed! If this rug isn’t scratchy, then I don’t know what is! It is rough as. So unfortunately I am now stuck with a rug that feels like crap in my lounge room.

Hey, Rhea! So, this is what I can tell you about the feel of the rug. It is not plush, it is a thinner woven rug but I would not call it scratchy. I think it feels pretty okay for a thin rug, but if you are looking for cozy and soft I would look somewhere else. A shag rug like the souk from West Elm might be something that would suit you better.

Hey Heather, I use non-slip rug mats. They work pretty well, but they do bunch up a bit from time to time. As far as cleaning goes, I vacuum (or even sweep) my rugs when they get dirty. I’m planning on taking a few more worn rugs to the cleaner this spring. I’ll let you know how that works for me.

I know! Especially when those things are “guava” I was worried that it wouldn’t be the right color, but it’s really perfect!

It really took taking the rug away from the space before I realized how much I appreciated it in the space. I totally love it now!

I’m a big believer in shopping my house. I always try and stick to similar accent colors, etc so I can do no-cost rearranging on a whim.

I hear you, I’m starting to get a collection of rugs – I change them out when the seasons change for a fresh look, you could always do that too ;)
