Hey Caroline! I know! I am so thankful it didn’t cost any more than that, but it’s still one of those things where you immediately start thinking about what you could’ve bought yourself for $400. Still, very thankful it wasn’t anything more major.

Oh no! That is so horrible. That is the first thing that entered my mind when I saw the standing water. Main line pipes have been cracking and bursting all over the place because of the cold. I am so thankful that it wasn’t anything more than just a clean out. I’m sure your sister is thankful that city will be responsible for her pipe too – does she have to replace the sidewalk?

Her basement sink clogged, and she learned the main sewage pipe between her house and the street is cracked. Fortunately, there’s only 3′ of sidewalk that has to be jackhammered to find said crack. Or maybe she’s super-lucky and the crack is on the city’s side of things, either way….it’s sucky for the both of you.
