We have used this three times so far and really liked all but one meal which was still edible. It is hard for my 12-year-old son to try new things, but the 16-year-old has liked it and even helped cook about half the time. He tends to be very persnickety and must have spent 15 minutes peeling and dicing the ginger one night. Even with two of us cooking we started to get behind the meat cooking. I like everything about Blue Apron but the packaging is intense and I could only recycle some of it.

I've been reading about these, and they are intriguing. Problem for me is the vegetarian/omnivore thing. If they have vegetarian options, that's great, but I don't think my husby would consider a veggie meal quite "date night" fare. But he might, you never know. He puts up with it plenty of nights. Those purple potatoes are mouth watering.

AHHH. I got so excited thinking they finally deliver to MPLS, but I still get a message saying they don't deliver here yet! Why are they doing this to me? Did you get it as a special blogger treat? I'm so jealous!

Damn, Scoops, once again you point out the obvious to me and change my life in the process. That's a brilliant idea for date night! The expense of babysitters has kept us from doing date nights, and I guess we've been too dumb/tired to just do date night at home. Thank you!!
