I love this! As a recent mid-west transplant (I come from Florida, the land of COVID), I am learning more and more about these midwest gardening/forest opportunities. I love what you've done!

We have several of those plants in our tiny urban backyard (foamflower as understory/ground cover, spirea, ferns, hydrangea) and they help it feel like we're in the middle of the woods. Add your actual woodsy setting and growing network of trails... sounds so dreamy!

You’ve created my perfect lake house. Love the direction you’re headed with all these trails, and also the great advice in woodland perennials; it’s so nice to able to look back through your archives and see how a particular specimen has done for you (and to remind me to have patience)!

Also: lakeside dip in the middle of a sauna session is essential. I would prioritize that path to the lakeshore!
