Well folks, I've been struggling with how to start my first blog post in awhile and I decided that maybe a recap is the right thing to do. As I am sure many you have experienced the ebbs and flow of this pandemic and what it doing to all of us mentally. For me, it's easy to become overwhelmed by anxiety or depression and I've been struggling with that a lot since March, as I'm sure many of us have. I've also struggled to find my drive to be creative.

Guyses! Today I am going to teach you how to install wallpaper on an accent wall. This is a job that is fairly easy, a tiny bit stressful, and 100 percent totally worth it. This my friends, is the fifth (!) time I have wallpapered, so I pretty much consider myself an expert. Stick with me and you’ll be alright.

Hey! So stoked to share this post today. Welcome to my first ever video house tour! We just celebrated the anniversary of our 10th year in our home! Can you believe it? Neither Jeff or I have lived in one place for so long, our home really has become part of our family. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share how far we’ve come, and how we’ve really made this place ours. So check out the vid right now (note if you’re reading this in a reader you may have to click directly to the site or watch it in youtube)! I figure it’s Friday, and you guys probably need a reason to distract yourselves from work. See if you can spot Loon – she makes a lot of guest appearances. Let me know what you think, if you like that I share in a video format and if you’d watch more if I shared more videos. I’m new to this, so be nice. I’m also curious if the house seems different to you now that you can get a better feel for the layout. If you like what you see, subscribe to my youtube channel – I sound just like one of those youtubers! Subscribe to my youtube Channel! Video Notes Here’s the full House Tour in picture form and this link will get you to sources and paint colors. Music is by my pal Lazerbeak – he has a few albums on spotify if you’d like to listen to more. The video was shot using this camera, with this tripod and on this slider.

Hey! I’m back for part two of my office refresh. Redesigning my office space was part of my plan for a fresh start to the New Year. I wanted to start 2020 on the right foot, and for me a big part of that was getting my office space whipped into shape. I had given it an update a few years ago, but I’ve learned since then that the functionally the space wasn’t working for me, and it wasn’t inspiring. There was a lack of storage and things I used on a regular basis seemed to pile up. It was necessary that I create a system to keep my office clean, uncluttered and inspiring.

I wasn’t kidding around about the goals I set for myself for 2020 – I really want to give it my all and push myself to post twice a week. I figure if I don’t really try, I won’t know if it’s possible. Worst case scenario, I figure out what my limits are and I go from there. To start the year off on the right foot, I wanted to give my office/workspace a refresh. It’s been awhile since I shared it with you. These photos are from 2016 and it’s change a bit since then, but not in like a completed sort-of-a-way, but more like a half-assed sort of away....

If you've been following for awhile you know that I have been wrestling with my stairwell design, but not just wrestling in the winning sort-of-away, but the kind where you're on the losing side and you're pinned down in a choke hold on the verge of blacking out.
I kind of dropped the ball when it came to really putting the finishing touches on the basement decor. It was such a massive project, and I had done so much of the hard work myself that by the time the paint was up and the wallpaper was hung, I just didn’t have it in me to really decorate. I wanted to take a physical and mental break.

Hello! I’ve recovered from my One Room Challenge, and have started onto a new back yard project! I’m so happy to have a little time to spend digging in the dirt and getting the backyard ready for spring! The top priority on my to-do list was to get our backyard patio whipped into shape for the summer season!

I had two major assignments, the first was to get the patio really clean. This is our second season with this new patio, and it was looking pretty dingy after sitting under a stack of snow for the last six months. The second, was to build an outdoor coffee table.

Hey Guys! We made it! Today I'm sharing my final reveal of my One Room Challenge! This has been quite the journey. I went into the ORC thinking that it would be good motivation for a spring project but I had no idea how intense of a challenge it would be - this is serious work ma' friends!

In case you're new here, I spent the last 5 or so weeks in my guest bedroom, restoring old windows, stripping poorly painted doors, building a custom bed with an Ikea hack, building a very cool sculptural brass wall trellis, adding DIY lighting, and installing custom shelves...

Hey guys. Well, we made it to week 5 of the ORC! It's been a crazy one. As soon as I finished up my vid for last week's ORC I threw out my back again. I probably had pushed my recovery too hard the previous week. Never have I ever felt to old and incapable. It truly sucks!

Dudes, here I am for week 3 of the One Room Challenge! Today I am writing this post from my bed, as I have been stricken with some sort of back injury. A bummer of a time to be plagued by such a condition, but at least my fingers can still type and I can share what I’ve been up to this week...

Guys! I'm here to kick off week 2 of the ORC! First, would you like to know what I've been up to this week! A whole lot of restoration, bay-beeees! That's right. This room is basically falling apart, well, not really falling apart. It needs a lot of work. The guest room is located in the middle of our second floor, and because we have a 108 year old home, that means theres been some settling over the years. The plaster walls have quite a few cracks and old patch jobs that need cleaning up.
