No I have no idea what % it is, but the guy who checked out our house before we moved in said it would be a 60k job to have asbestos abatement. The only thing we can really do is try and make it look better. I love a red door too, normally that is my number one go to, but then I saw this yellow door. I bet your place is super cute.

I suppose it will be a pain for you to paint all those grooves in that T-111 too. I recently painted our paneled wall in the bedroom, it took twice as long to paint with the grooves. I feel for ya.

I can’t WAIT to paint our house. It’s not bad enough to tackle yet this year, but hopefully next year we can make it something that is more appealing. I’m really looking forward to your photoshopped mock ups! I want to do the same thing, but I’m just getting started with the software and probably won’t be able to do something that advanced for a while.

T-111. I know some boards are pretty bad and will probably need replacing. Our last house was the same and it wasn’t too bad to repaint. My parents house was built in 1918 and I don’t know how many times I had to repaint their garage (house was aluminum sided before they bought it). That clapboard is so old and weird. You scrape and scrape and clean and clean beforehand, then the thing is peeling again in two years. I’m convinced they had kids just so they wouldn’t have to keep repainting that thing themselves every couple years, because they haven’t done it again since I moved out. Now I’m just counting the years until my boys can to the painting for ME! (only kind of joking)
