I had a friend tell me that a friend of hers was not happy with Petrie sofa either. She had almost the exact same problems with it as you have had with yours. The buttons were flying of hers in no time, and overall they were really unhappy with the sofa.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Karlstad, I really admire the lines of that sofa and I’ll check it out again in real life next time I’m out at Ikea. We have a small Ikea sectional in the basement that the kids go nuts on, it’s not even as high quality as the Karlstad. Ikea sofas really do hold up well. The idea of having a sofa that can be washed sounds really enticing, and it’s good to hear it doesn’t lose shape after you do wash it.

I also have my eye on this Andre Sofa from Room & Board, but again, there are buttons involved…

Oh Awesome! That is so good to know that it’s showing up at the outlet. I love the Jasper too, my best friend has a Jasper and it just wouldn’t feel right if we had the same sofa. She totally loves it though and it’s held up well throughout the years. Good luck in your hunting!

I’ve only had mine for 6 months, so I can’t speak to the long term durability. But it’s handled 3 pets and a few spills by a 6 year old friend very well. I’m looking forward to seeing what you choose!

Good to know, I really like the look of the Petrie sofa but how disappointing to invest $1,700 into something and not have it hold up. I’m all in on that Reese sofa!

That’s interesting that you say that about the loose cushions. Definitely food for thought, thanks for your input. Our Mercer seat fabric is just starting to loosen, it’s held up surprisingly well in that department. I’m glad the Reese sofa fits this cushion criteria :)

Your sofa insight is spot on. You are right, light is not the way to go with the young ones, I appreciate you bringing me back to reality ;). I’m totally leaning towards the Reese but haven’t decided on a chaise sectional or not. Our living room is smaller, but I would love to be able to lounge sectional style when we are watching TV and hangin’. There will definitely be indecisive posts about furniture arranging in my future.

That IS very similar. Thanks for submitting this, I wish I would’ve added it to my list as a more affordable option.

Thanks for your input, I was hoping someone out there had first hand experience with the Reese. It’s good to hear that the Dustin fabric holds up! How long have you had your sofa? I LOVE the tufted seat.
