I know its a little early to be thinking about Christmas right now, but I stumbled upon your site and have been just clicking on all the amazing stuff you’ve done. I love the idea of a blue themed Xmas and I also have a very strong love affair with a good teal blue, peacock feathers are a favorite! I was hoping to find out where you got that white bubbly bowl in your place setting…?

Thanks for the tips! I’m super curious about this white chicken chili, I’ll have to try and check it out.

Sometime before the winter is over I’m gonna make that seven chile chili recipe, it sounds so good and looks amazing! I also like a recipe with lots of steps :) Happy Holidays to you too!

I love the vintage-y blue Christmas decor! It is simply the best to pull together things you have with a few new items to have a completely new look. I hope I’ll start doing more of this in years to come. I also love the fact that Erika O. (of Fox and Owl) was featured in your Minneapolis gift guide post. I am friends with her sister and just hung out at their Mom’s condo last Saturday night. These Twin Cities are one small world.

My favorite white chili is Wee Willy’s white chicken chili. It’s a starter pack that you add broth, beans and meat to, and it’s SO good. You can use ground or pulled chicken or turkey. I’ve only been able to find it at Lund’s, but it is our all time fave chili (well, second favorite to this much more complicated seven chile chili- http://www.amateurgourmet.com/2011/09/lisa-fains-seven-chile-chili.html ) Good luck and Merry Christmas!

I love it, and it always gets rave reviews. I use canned beans (I’m scared of dried) and have used less chiles, when serving those with low ‘heat’ tolerance, with great results. It is extra yummy with cornbread! It’s also fun to mix your own spice blend.

In reply to Sam. No way, I wish I could do that! I got the wreath and the chargers for the table at Michael's, everything else was found around the house. I totally wish I was a better crafter and could just whip that sort of stuff together but it's not always my forte. I think wreaths can be pretty year round. Hope you find one you love :) **I don't even own A glue gun, let alone many guns to necessitate an entire rack... Wayne's World puns, couldn't help myself.

OMG -did you make the wreath?! It’s GORGEOUS! I’m not Christian – but my hubby’s family is, would love to do a non-denominational wreath sometime…. this one is so cool!
