I’m so glad this falmiy treasured them. I once asked for one from the stash (tops of closets FULL at gramma’s house while we were growing up)- only to find that they were all thrown away when gramma died. Mom’s generation saw them as a reminder of the need for them (growing up during the depression and the need to use every scrap). I was deeply saddened. It’s very good to see quilts in the proper place- as a treasure and memory.[]

I know! Dining tables are insanely spendy. I found ours on craigslist for $350 and then reupholstered the seats. Last year I was able to find a few more chairs to go with the set too. I would have to save forever if we were to purchase something new. Dinner parties are the best though, hope you find something awesome soon!

Our dining room has also been our last room to tackle. Our table is way too small for the space (bought it when we lived in an apt. in LA) and the new ones I love are SO EXPENSIVE.
