Hey, Beks! That is so lame to hear about bloglovin. I don’t have that problem in my bloglovin interface. There are a few versions of the blog on bloglovin, some even link to the old, old blogger blog, and they DO NOT update. I wonder if that could be the problem. This is the exact version I follow, why don’t you try that and if you could let me know either way if it works. Sorry to hear that it hasn’t been working for you, I wanna fix that.

Oh, I wasn’t saying you had asbestos, I was just explaining why my friends couldn’t just put some tile or other solid flooring in their kitchen.
But if it’s just a porch and not connected to the house, yeah, self-level it. I’m still new to the world of not-slab houses, so I forget that not everybody has to work out foundation raising stuff on their old houses. Carry on!

Hey Stacey! Thanks for your comment. I think I might not have been super clear in the post, but there is no tile under the carpet, it’s just concrete so thankfully I don’t have to worry about asbestos. I’ll probably be able to tile with real tile, but I appreciate your suggestion. I also appreciate your tips on the self leveling concrete. When we get to that point I will tons of research on the best approach. I’m not sure if we’d ever raise that side of the porch as it doesn’t effect the house at all, just the porch, and the dip isn’t very severe. I’m sure lifting the porch up would be super expensive too. Thanks!

Hey, Caroline! I know I will get bored next winter, pull out a crowbar and go nuts on that wall, it will happen, I know it. It will most likely be a mess, but hopefully a fun and rewarding mess.

Yes! You should get a sunroom or porch – it does so much for a home to have a calm and relaxing space like that. I really love, enjoy and appreciate mine!

Also – That is a Bruce Springsteen pillow I crocheted back when I liked to do weird obsessive craft projects. It’s from the darkness on the edge cover.

Hey, Maeve! I’m sure you know this, but you can still get excited about your someday space by adding long-term investment items to your collection of furniture and decor. I probably overstepped my bounds in a lot of apartments painting things I shouldn’t have, but in hindsight it was a really good way to experiment ;) I was a bad tenant. Thanks!

Becky – Isn’t it crazy what gets hidden behind walls? I am thankful that someone made this a fully function 4 season porch at some point and I don’t have to take that project on. It gets slightly cold in the winter, but it’s not freezing or anything, maybe a few degrees colder then the rest of the house. Aren’t you glad we can start to enjoy our summer spaces!

Hey, Paula! The insulation does sound like a mess – I have a feeling this might be covering some sort of mess, but I’d rather make it right then hide it. Now I wish it was large enough to find a claw foot tub, but I am afraid not, what a strange thing to hide in a wall!

I hope you really appreciate your sunroom and front porch. Both spaces are gorgeous and so full of light. After seeing your sunroom I told my husband that that’s my only requirement for our dream home. A sunroom where I can have my coffee and have the cats out in the morning. And I love the table out there- brilliant.
