Hey Meghan! Don’t feel too bad about that solomon’s seal. I kind of think if it’s not variegated it tends to look weedy, you did the right thing, dawg. That’s sweet of you to say about having the “real life” things set against images from the garden. Sometimes I don’t want to be that annoying blogger who talks to much about her kids and stuff, but maybe I should include them a little bit more from time to time. Hope your garden is looking lovely and that you are getting the chance to spend lots of time outside!

Also, I ripped out what must have been Solomon’s seal, as a weed spreading into the my perennial garden from the schoolyard behind my yard today. Woops.

Hey Deb, The crab apple is called Ruby Tears. If I remember correctly it’s drape is only supposed to get to about 10 feet wide by 8 feet tall. Mine is probably kind of close to mature size, I imagine it will just fill in more as time goes on. I hope you can find something perfect.
