Hey Erica, Sorry it has taken forever for me to respond. I am lame. Yes mine was solid wood so that made it easy. Be careful if you are painting veneer. If it was me, I would forgo the gritty sand paper and only give it a light sanding with a fine grit sand paper (220). There is only so much veneer, and you wouldn’t want to sand it off. Then you’ll be ready to just paint away!

We’ll see, maybe I will when I’m all done with it. I think brass pulls could be really pretty but I kinda just like how it is too. I’ll have to live with a bit.
