Can you put your tile saw in your porch, maybe with a space heater? That's what we did last winter when we did our kitchen tiling. We have carpeting in our porch but I laid down giant tarps and everything cleaned up easily. I know you'll have to do a lot of walking back and forth, but sometimes I think that's better with these projects because the movement helps so that you're not all cramped up! I hear you on the heating pads, this weekend warrior business is the number one reason my chiropractor stays in business.

Oooh, this is good to know. I always consult Richard first when trying to figure out an answer to a problem. I'll try googling this old house and plumbers putty. I know exactly where connection that the drip is coming from, part of me just wants to caulk it ;) but the putty sounds better.. Thanks for the tip.

Phantom dripping drives me nuts! I spent a whole day uninstalling and reinstalling a toilet for the same reason. I've seen Richard Trethewey (This Old House) use plumber's putty on a leaky valve, instead of tape or sealant. Good luck!!
