Love your cabin! Have you had any issues with the Luna Flax fabric piling? I read that light piling is to be expected but I’m so set of the fabric. Any info would be so appreciated!

In reply to Tara C. Hey Tara! Our rug is new-ish. I suppose I haven't shared too many photos of the old cabin lately, so it probably seems more current. I choose this rug because it is big (9x12), wool, textural and has a black and white contrast which I am a sucker for. I wanted something very soft and cozy for the cabin. It is called the "hourglass rug" from west elm and it goes in spurts of availability. Here's another option that is current available and has a similar vibe. Hope that helps.

In reply to Lori. Yes! Highly recco. We just had our first stain this weekend and it came out nicely. I was totally bummed at first because it was blood, but with gentle dabbing I had it out in no time. We also have the Karlstad in our basement and I think a new slipcover will have to be in the works this winter.

Question: It looks like you changed out the rug in the cabin living room. Could you tell me a little bit about that decision? I’m currently trying to figure out what color rug/pattern I want under my white sofa and chairs and I’d love to know how you landed on this rug, and also what it is. Thanks!
