Yes to the follow up after living with a cat! I love the rug, but dismissed it out of hand because of my beloved feline and his need to destroy all texture that I love.

I will keep you posted. It seems very well made to me, and the wool knit seems snug. It’s attached to a cotton backer, so fingers crossed. We have a cat who likes to scratch where she’s not supposed to, so I should know soon how it looks after a bit of time living with it.
