I love both, but I think the blu dot chairs are more comfortable. The back on the field chairs is more upright so you can feel comfortable sitting. The womb chair is also comfy, but it’s meant for laying back, reclining and chilling. I often would put a pillow behind my head so that I would sit up more. Hope that helps, both are great!

Hey Sarah! I totally mislead you guys I realize. There are two trees, one that is smaller and nearly succumbed to root rot – I needed to trim it way back, but it’s doing well now. I replaced that tree with a brand new grown tree from a nursery which I am babying. There is usually someone at the cabin every two weeks to help with watering, and that works for the FLF during its dormant season. I have been known to make a special trip just to water. I enjoy the trees in the space so much, it’s worth it to me to make special accommodations to have them. Maybe sometime I can share my routine with you guys? The winter light at the cabin is minimal and the air is dry so I supplement with grow lights and a humidifier on an Alexa timer which I can control from home if I need to.

So happy to hear that it clicked with you. Until we had the cabin, I had always decorated and purchased (at our Minneapolis house) very slowly. Having to furnish the whole cabin pretty quickly was new turf for me, and I knew that we couldn’t get the best stuff all at once. I hope that is relatable.

Stacey, Yes, Duh! Those Trees! So, There are two trees total that you see in the photos. One of the trees (the tree shown in the fireplace side by side) suffered some root rot. It had been overwatered so in a last ditch attempt to save it, I cut it all the way back until it was basically a stump. t’s now regrowing and happy, but much smaller. We loved the look of the large tree growing up into the open ceiling, so when the big tree had to be cut back, we did purchase a brand new grown fiddle leaf fig, which I am babying like a little tiny baby. It has a humidifier, grow lights, and I make sure to use a water meter before watering. That is the tree that looks huge in amazing behind the chair in the other photos. Sorry, I should have said something. I’m so used to both in the space that I don’t even think about it.

Hi Wendy! I love that Ikea couch too, I think it has great lines. I’d like to get another set of slip covers for it someday and reuse it in our basement. Say, “Hey” to your husband for me :)
