Yes, Amanda – good call! I thought of that too, but it wouldn’t have fit with the depth of the wall so I couldn’t do it. It would have been slick though.

Looks just like the pottery barn vintage recessed medicine cabinet! Another option might have been to try to recess it. Love this DIY.

Yes!! I love your DIYs, and this one is so smart. I try and reuse parts of our old house (1927 German tutor) to save money and preserve some of the house’s history. But I never would have thought of using melamine laminate! Thank you for all your resourcefulness guiding those of us who mostly only know how to sand and paint!
