The kitchen was the one thing that felt like a major compromise when we moved in nearly 9 years ago. The layout is funky at best, it had a copper backsplash, all around it just needed love. We did our best. I refinished all the original cabinets, restoring not only the cabinets but the hardware too. I tiled the backsplash and mudroom. Installed shelving around the chimney, added new cabinets for functionality and did my best to put a little lip stick on this pig. Here we are 9 years later, and I’m chomping at the bit to get this kitchen fully renovated. We’ve been more than patient.
