Deuce Cities Henhouse

Inspiration or Torture?

Summer Time Dream Scene
Happy almost weekend time guys! Thanks for hanging with me there over the last few days. It seems that my server was the target of some hackers, doesn’t that sounds so cool and badass? Thankfully, nothing really really bad happened to the old blog, but it did result in slow load times and I even got locked out of the site for a bit. Those hacker, always trying to ruin stuff.

Anyways, I don’t know if it’s a good idea to go ahead and embrace the spring/summer even though all I can see outside my window right now is dumb white, but I thought “what they hey, man”. It can’t be so horrible to dream about warmer weather can it?

I put together a list of some backyard dreams-scenes I’ve had for this summer. I love the idea of putting bright yellow against our dark blue house. Remember my dream home exterior? I still want that, only maybe not with a yellow door, but with yellow stuff. This is how I’d do it:

White Tilting Umbrella from Target $63.99

Falster Table with Chairs & Bench from Ikea $284.00

Cabrio Lounge Chair from Loll Furniture $399.00

Dramm Garden Hose from West Elm Marketplace $55.00

▽ Yellow Planters from Bachmans (local garden store) $39.99

Nelson Traveling Sprinkler from QC Supply for 69.99

Copper Rain Chain from Gardeners Supply Co $69.99

Hey, I was at Target today and thought of you…they’re selling a little chicken-wire-esque metal sign that says “Hen House”. You should have one. :)

Sounds cute, I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for that next time I’m at target! Thanks for thinking of me ;)

We were just looking at those Ikea benches online the other day. Our garden chairs are falling apart but the table still has a few more years left in it. The benches look like they would be a perfect match for our table and they seem maintenance free too. I was also looking at your blog recently re. the macramé chair diy. I bought some cord covered chairs last year and the cord has perished in the sun and is flaking away. Need to buy some cord and have a go at covering them as the frames look brand new. Wish me luck!

Good luck, I hope the video helps. I know it’s kind of fast but if you slow pause the frames you should be able to get the method of how it works.

I really like that bench too and I think it would work really well for the kids.
