I have a serious chair problem

I thought someone was supposed to be stopping me from buying more chairs? Come on guys. I need you.

This purchase actually makes sense. Lemme ‘splain something to you. We found our dining room table on craigslist back in 2009. The table is a a Drexel Projection table dated 1959. We love it, like love, LOVE it. When we bought it we were looking for a interim dining room table. Something to have until we got a real grown up dining room table years down the road, but that’s not happening, this table is too great. With the 3 leaves in, our table seats 10 (we only have 6 chairs so you do the math). I’ve been searching on craigslist and ebay for the last two years looking for another set of chairs. These things don’t exist. During two years of searching I’ve NEVER seen them come up on craigslist. I have seen them occasionally on ebay but they are always way too expensive and usually for local pick up only… in Florida. Then, I saw this posting for a dining set, but do you see what I see, in the background there? My chairs, eureka baby!

I quickly sent off an email trying not to sound insane asking if I could make an offer on the Drexel chairs. Bing bang boom, a little negotiating and I am now the proud owner of 5 new Projection chairs! It’s way more than I need, but that’s the way the negotiating cookie crumbled.

I was hoping I’d find more chairs so I bought extra fabric when I recovered the chairs a bajillion years ago. Glad I don’t have to worry too much about getting them all to match. Now I just have to come up with a reasonable storage solution for these when I’m not having a sit down dinner for 10. Oh god, I’m crazy, right?
