Funny Trees and a White Christmas

Perfect Nordic Christmas Trees
Hi Guys, I don’t know about you, but I am starting to get the christmas itch like crazy. Normally I’d have a start on holiday decorating already, but this year it seems that I am falling behind just a bit. I have plans to decorate the window boxes this weekend, and next weekend, after Thanksgiving, we will be searching tree lots for this year’s tree. We’ve made a tradition of tree hunting the weekend after Thanksgiving.

My birthday falls during the first week of December, and tends to mark the start of non-stop chalked full weekends that continue until after the New Year. With a lot of busyness coming in the very near future, I like to have the decorating done before b-day time.

I’ve been trying to figure out what I am going to do around the house this year, and I think I’m committed to a white Christmas. Last year I followed my first love, turquoise, and it was totally great, I almost decided to do it again, but then I decide, doing the same thing again would be a little boring (for me). I don’t know about you, but I never want to do the same thing two years in a row, plus I like to have to have a few different decor styles in my holiday repertoire. White will be great this year, I can’t wait!

Above are a few inspiring photos of beautiful white rooms, with amazingly beautiful evergreens. We have a bit of a challenge this year. We have our new living room furniture laid out differently then previous years, and we don’t have a lot of space for a tree. We will have to tuck a tree in front of the living room window, a much more narrow space then in previous years. Next weekend we’ll be on the hunt for a skinny, Charlie Brown tree, it’ll be perfect – I hope I can find one.

Below is a few of the holiday decor items I’ve had my eye on.

Yes! I’m not the only one who’s into Christmas this early! We’re going away for Christmas so I was being all Grinchy and almost decided that we didn’t need a tree this year. But Charlie Brown trees are really the best! Can’t wait to see you winter white wonderland! Oh and happy early birthday!
