Happy Friday, peoples! I am in desperate need of a medium sized rug for the front entryway. I’ve been looking for a solid two months now and have found a bunch of potential contenders, but every time I think I’ve found “the one” I find an even better rug somewhere else. The space needs a rug mostly for practical reasons. We need a spot for boots and shoes to go when we’re having folks over during the winter months, so it needs to be durable. It also needs to be cute, because it will help to unify the space (aka tie that shit together).

Anyways, right now I have heart eyes for number 5, but a week ago it was 16, and a little before that it was 9. You get the picture.

Hopefully something will just feel right soon, and hopefully that will happen the same time as some sort of amazing sale. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

I’m all over #13. #1 is great, too, but I think it’s a bit delicate for an entry. You’re right, however: they’re all keepers.

13 was one that just got on my radar, it’s from target, so it’s not like its too precious.

Scoops, I used to say that I don’t like diagonal lines. Like tile laid on the diagonal, or diamond lattice fencing in the garden. I always preferred linear or curvilinear lines. But I bought a diamond motif rug for my large front door with sidelights and transom. It’s a solid deep blue runner with a raised harlequin weave placed longways parallel to the door, which is a dark stain like your entry. It is beautiful and perfect because the diamond pattern makes the eyes linger in the area where people gather and are welcomed. On another note, will any white colors in the rug drive you crazy if they are stained in certain spots? I do love #5, but it has strict white lines in the pattern. I like #9 too. Does it play off the window curtain panel on the stairs? Love your home!

I want a link to this rug! Let me see. I really like 5 too, I’m gonna wait it out and see if I feel all the feels about it, hopefully it doesn’t go out of stock while I wait. I don’t think the window panel on the stairs will be there for much longer, so I don’t need to think about it in relation to future rugs :)
